At the heart of the project is the story of the relationship between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel, as it unfolds throughout the narratives of the Bible—from God’s command to Abraham, “Go forth from your land… to the land that I will show you,” through the stories of the patriarchs, the Exodus from Egypt and the journey through the wilderness, the settlement of the land, the monarchy, the prophets, Jerusalem, and the Temple. From the opening stage of the proposal, the story of Abraham and the promise of the land served as the conceptual starting point for the journey.

The idea was to transform the biblical narrative, known to millions through the written text, into a tangible, multisensory experience that would allow visitors to feel as though they were entering the landscapes, events, and human dramas of the biblical world. To achieve this, a traveling museum-theater experience was conceived, designed to move between cities across the United States and bring the stories of the Bible to broad audiences and different generations.

Inside a large-scale mobile tent structure, a route was designed through twelve central scenes, from Abraham to the time of Jesus. Visitors move through full-scale three-dimensional environments combining life-size sculpted figures, actors, video projections, lighting, and an original soundtrack. The script combines the human drama of the biblical stories with historical background and educational content, creating an emotional experience without compromising its value as a museum exhibition.

At a later stage, the concept developed into a continuous journey through the space, in which visitors moved on mechanical platforms between the scenes, while the scenery, projections, lighting, and soundtrack changed around them, carrying them from one period to another.

The traveling tent therefore acquired a symbolic meaning of its own: a temporary structure moving from place to place, telling the story of a people whose journey begins with a command to set out, yet whose destination is the land. The experience is not merely a journey through the stories of the Bible, but a journey tracing the connection between people, memory, and land—from the promise to Abraham to Jerusalem.
