Thailand: A Resort-Style Community Complex
Chabad House Koh Phangan
Architectural Concept
The project integrates local tropical architecture with complex communal functions. Designed in a resort-style layout, the complex features low-rise structures (2 stories) surrounding a lush, central courtyard.
Spatial Program
Entrance & Dining: The main gate is flanked by two restaurants (meat and dairy), leading into a garden featuring paved pathways, a flowing water canal, and cooling fountains.
Central Hub Houses the synagogue, a 1,000-capacity event hall, and spiritual community services.
Leisure & Welfare: Dedicated "Zula" lounge and relaxation areas for travelers, alongside the emissaries' residence and a high-end, spa-style Mikvah complex.
The Vision
The design embeds Jewish identity within the island’s natural fabric, creating a welcoming landmark for both the local community and thousands of annual travelers.
