The presentation of the artifacts in the gallery, together with a unique touch of informality, places the focus on the human story behind the finds.
The museum contains a huge topographical model (14 x 7m) of the Judaean Desert

That is a part of an audiovisual display projected on a 3D surface.
At the end of the display, artificial rain showers on the model, enabling the visitor to experience "the flood effect," whereby water runs in the wadis toward the Dead Sea.
